Bluebird saved the day!

I was replacing a tub drain in a tub from 1985. I got the replacement part from Home Depot, and it didn’t fit. I found out that all the stock tub drains from the big box stores are 16 thread and might’ve required a 14 thread tub drain which is almost impossible to find. I found one here on Bluevue, cross my fingers, and it fit like a glove! Thank you Bluevue!!!

Rare to find and worked

I was looking for 1-5/8 with 14 TPI which is part number 35250. No local stores had anything except chrome. All other products on Amazon and stores didn’t fit. Really happy this did for my 35+ year old European thread. Shipping was quick and it arrived on time.

Hard to Find Part Was Perfect

Drain shoes with 14 threads per inch are not easy to find. We were hoping for the toe touch version but ended up settling for the lift and turn version because it was the only one we could find with 14tpi. It fit, which is what we needed.

50/50

I ordered the rare thread size tub drain 14 teeth per inch that came correct but the drain did not work it was a "lift and twist" but the stopper would not stay up and just flopped in the breeze. apparently missing a ring or an O-ring in one of the grooves. I had to rig it up still but at least it did screw in and came in a fairly timely fashion.
