My steel/enamel tub had rust behind the overflow. After reglazing by a local company I didn’t love, I wanted an additional layer of security from future leaks. This was exactly what I was looking for. I sent BluVue images of my overflow with measurements and purchased their suggestion. I’m delighted. The installation took minutes and worked great, no leaks and I loved that mounting screws included two washers (one metal to go between the screw and the metal plate, and one silicone to go between the metal the silicone to protect the silicone and insure a tight seal).
The install was very easy. Such a simple solution for frustrating problem. No more leaking!
We have nothing like this in Vancouver and plumbers told me it couldn’t be repaired, so I did some research myself and found bluevue online, best $75 CDN I’ve ever spent!
I cried of joy installing this part. It's saving me thousands upon thousands in plumbing work. Thank you to those who invented this part! I'd buy you a drink if I could.
One of the rubber screw washers was missing. Had to find one at hardware store to put in its place
